Welcome to the homepage of Reigate & Banstead Cycle Forum, the organisation that promotes and protects the interests of the Borough’s cycling community, both on and off road.

Our roles

  • As an independent body, the Forum works without compromise with many different organisations at both local and county level.

  • The Forum is consulted and advises on proposed traffic schemes and road alterations, which are likely to affect cyclists

  • We add input to transport studies, which involve cyclists

  • We work with the officers and Councillors of Reigate & Banstead and Surrey County Council, to ensure that cyclist’s concerns are taken into account in the decision making process, especially where road safety is an issue.

Your Role

Within the Borough, large areas of countryside are available to the public together with an extensive network of bridleways and cycleways, all of which offer facilities for recreational cycling. This is strongly promoted by the Forum with its programme of Family Rides, weekly Off-Road Rides and other organised Social Rides.

Click here to see the list of rides.

We actively work with local schools to encourage and facilitate safe cycling for children as well as running adult and family cycling classes.

Click here for information on safe routes to schools. Additionally we promote the health benefits of cycling by working with Age Concern and the local Primary Health Care Trust.

Since we represent the views of the Borough’s cyclists it is important that we are fully aware of your views. By joining the Forum you can:

Ensure that your views and concerns are taken into account on road safety issues

Participate in our leisure rides that are organised and friendly

Make a difference and it won’t cost you a penny!

A warm welcome awaits you at our meetings that are open to all and are held bi-monthly on the first Thursday of the month.
