Adrian reported that he had created the website, having had some contact from Ed. Several members had already visited it.

Agreed to add a number of features, including, safe routes to school, planned rides and descriptions of past rides, National Cycle Network locally and nationally, forthcoming events, minutes and agendas, current leaflets, ongoing traffic schemes and campaigns, social activities, National Bike Week plans, more links to CTC, Sustrans, other national organisations, local authorities, etc.

Needs regular updating to remain current, and members need to be

reminded every 2 months to visit the site.

GH would do the front-page copy and JSO would help with the design.

DfT Cycle Projects Fund  No new ideas had been received and it was reluctantly decided  it was too late to make further applications this year. We should start earlier next year.

iii

Cycling on Earlswood Common  We would propose a circuit round E/Wood Lakes, and a larger circuit to include the Ring and avoiding the golf fairways. It was bound to be contentious, so we should proceed with caution. Proposal to be referred to the E/Wood Common Management Group via RBBC Leisure Dept. MO also to contact Peter Wesson, Chair of Golf Club

Public Liability Insurance  Surrey County Council would be paying the CTC affiliation of £100, giving organisers liability and public liability for 5 people till October. From then the cost would be £54 plus 40p per member

Redhill Station Study Nick Farthing (Sustrans) asked if we would undertake a study for 2 days (a Tues & a Thurs) in March from 615-1830 to survey how people accessed the station. Agreed to ask members to assist on 18th & 20th March.

Rides & Routes Database Proposal  John Meudell said that the Mole Valley group were compiling a web-accessible database of organisations, with a potential to link to similar databases in other counties with a dynamic content. The cost would be £2000, which would need to be fund-raised.

There was serious concern about the financial and time commitment involved in this project, but we agreed to assist by contributing information on rides etc
